Dorchester Residents Wounded/Killed During the Civil War

          In the upcoming slides of this website, you will follow the trail of fallen Union soldiers from Dorchester. These soldiers gave their lives to the Union because of what they believed in for the future of the United States of America and unfortunately lost their lives in the Civil War. Dorchester, Massachusetts was a progressive city known for their strong opposition to slavery and these soldiers fought to keep slavery from progressing. The slides show thirty-nine known residents of Dorchester who enlisted in the Civil War as well as some of their personal information and contributions until their unfortunate manners of death.
